1960

The founder Gb Revelli came from managing a company for the production of jute bags and, in the years of Natta Nobel Prize for plastic, he decided to do business by opening a factory in 1960 in Arma di Taggia to transform plastic materials.
Plastital grew, experimented and produced items while keeping up the market but always remaining family-run.
In 1970 Armaplast srl was created in partnership with Dr Castellano to transform industrial packaging film.
In 1980 Tecnofilm was established in Tribogna in the province of Genoa for laminating film for food.
The path of growth ended with the millennium, as the generational transition marked a return to the Plastital brand on its own, which changed it production site and selected customers in a smaller and more versatile but structured company.

2000

The new Plastital, which had worked on shopping bags for decades, was launched commercially by selecting a customer portfolio of three companies, essentially acquiring the customers of Armaplast and Tecnofilm, through their commercial agents. The decision was then taken to gradually abandon shopping bags to focus its production on industrial packaging.

Research and experimentation with innovative materials such as octenes and metallocenes, modification of extrusion plants to adapt them to new materials and from continuous tests on customers' machinery to replace their products with films with minimum weight and optimal mechanical and optical characteristics: all this led to the creation of the new line of Reva heat-shrink film.
New applications

Personal commitment to supporting salesmen to test REVA on machines and look for possible new applications

Energy efficiency

With the help of a specialised company, we have begun a study on each individual system, with the aim of minimising consumption.

Reduction of CO2 emissions

Energy savings for each kg of production allows us to reduce emissions for each kg of production proportionally.

Creation of the circular polymer series

Accompanied by the ISCC PLUS certification, it allows us to guarantee customer the traceability of our materials in terms of their renewable origin. We purchase batches of granules from renewable sources that reduce CO2 emissions in their production cycle. With this system we can guarantee customers an effective reduction in emissions in the production cycle of their packaging.
